Catherine Dimakuiza

Lawyer at the French speaking Bar of Brussels

Catherine graduated in Business Law after five years at the University of Paris-Nanterre, and in Insurance Law at the University of Toulouse Capitole 1 with Distinction. She continued her studies with a Master's degree in Economics and Social Sciences at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

She then spent 3 years working for several leading international multinationals in insurance law and on international cases. She was able to develop cutting-edge expertise in this field, particularly in French and Belgian law.

Catherine has always had a passion for defence. During her studies, she became involved as an elected student member of the Board of Governors of the University of Paris-Nanterre.

She has been involved in a number of ASBLs promoting access to rights and employment for people with disabilities, particularly the Deaf. Catherine wrote her dissertation on the status of disabled workers in sheltered employment in ESATs (France) and ETAs (Walloon Region).

Her main area of practice is insurance and liability law.
 

Catherine can work in several languages: French (mother tongue), English (British Council Certificate), Portuguese (Instituto Camoes Certificate) and Sign Language (University Diploma).
